About me
With a passion for writing that began as a hobby, I’ve been sharing my thoughts and stories on social media for years. In 2020, I took a professional turn when I completed my first book. Since then, I’ve expanded my portfolio to include ghostwriting for blogs, while continuing to share my insights on LinkedIn, Medium and Instagram. A few months ago, I had the opportunity to merge my background in UX Design with my writing skills, working on a project as a UX writer. This experience has significantly influenced my career path. As a seasoned storyteller with a deep understanding of user experience, I bring a unique perspective that sets my work apart. My years of experience stand as a testament to my skills and dedication.

Dyslexia Reading App
Challenge
Shockingly, 20% of Nigerians struggle with dyslexia, yet about 90% of Nigerian teachers lack the necessary knowledge and awareness of this condition. This severe gap hinders adequate support and accommodations for dyslexic individuals within the educational system. This is what the Dyslexia Foundation of Nigeria aim to resolve with this project.
OBJective
At the end of phase 1, the primary overall goal we hoped to achieve was:
1. Define brand identity, personality, then the voice and tone of the App.
2. Create a low-fidelity wireframe and content framework/strategy for an MVP.
3. Implement identified content strategy in all parts of the MVP.
My Role
We wanted to learn how dyslexia affects learning, what competitors are doing, and how this impacts the learning and language patterns in Nigeria. This helped us focus on the specific needs of dyslexic students in Nigeria, resulting in a more aligned solution and by assumption 25% higher retention rate.

How I Presented it On LinkedIn
Imagine meeting a new friend. They greet you with a friendly smile, their demeanor is casual, and their words are respectful. They speak in a matter-of-fact way that puts you at ease. This is the personality we have defined for the Dyslexia App.
As you get to know this friend over a cup of coffee, you discover that they are trustworthy, they genuinely want the best for you, and they possess expert knowledge in what they do. They share this knowledge in a friendly, casual, respectful, and matter-of-fact manner, making you feel comfortable and understood.
Fun Fact About me
Outside of work, I enjoy anything nature and art, and I also enjoy connecting with people.
So, If you can't find me at my computer, I'm either listening to music and singing along loudly, reading, writing, binge-watching on Netflix, or just hanging out with friends.
I also spend time as a volunteer counsellor for teenagers, helping them make important decisions about their careers and lives.
COMPANIES I WORKED WITH
TESTIMONIAL
Florence consistently maintained a positive attitude, fostering a collaborative and uplifting work environment. Her innovative ideas played a pivotal role in shaping the direction of our content design decisions, contributing to the overall success of the project.
I loved how independent and autonomous she was from day 1, requiring little hand-holding. She took design problems into her hands and went to unpack them in an intentional, controlled way, showing surprising maturity as a designer. Ioana Teleanu
